Second Gear is a non-profit that finds new life or purpose in trashed, battered, and abandoned bicycles scattered throughout cities and communities across the country. Rather than being dumped at metal yards or landfills, Second Gear will collect bicycles and our team will begin to repair and refurbish each bike with care. When each bicycle is completely refurbished, they will then be redistributed to various community oriented organizations across cities and other communities nationally.

As a company with a mission to help children,  I wanted the primary mark to be fun and approachable. In finding this balance, I went through a variety of ideas before landing on the final mark.

Ultimately, I wanted the mark to be reminiscent of a vintage style badge with an updated, refreshed feel to represent the core values of the brand.  

Along with a logo and brand guidelines, a variety of deliverables were designed and built for the brand.
