Lighthouse was an app designed for users looking to have full control over any device or appliance in their home at their fingertips. Whether staying in or on vacation, Lighthouse allows users to view their energy output from the entire household, and offers solutions on how to reduce total output. Lighthouse also offers an option for users to track total money spent on water and electricity bills in the past, and offers solutions on how to save in the future. Users can also check which devices or appliances are actively running in their home, and power them off or on no matter where they are, eliminating the worry that comes with wondering if you left the stove on.

The logo was designed with movement and energy in mind to reflect the purpose of the app, as shown through the curves and flowing base of the “lighthouse.” In initial sketches, the emphasis was put on a grid-like/bento box style layout for each page, making it easy to navigate for the user.
